For Amber's debut novel, this was an INCREDIBLE READ. She really knocked it out of the park and blew my expectations right out of the water!
I went into this book blind and I'm glad I did because it was devoured ASAP.
It is a dark read, so always check your trigger warnings before diving into this.
Amber had a beautiful writing style and this book was filled with so much twists, a bit of suspense, a sprinkle of trauma and some spiceee. Man I could NOT get enough of Mateo & Melina to save my life. Something about a well connected mafia man just does it for me you know? I really loved that Amber kept the storyline pretty hidden throughout so you never knew what was coming your way (YESSS suspense!) I will say, she is definitely on my radar as an author that I will continue to keep an eye out for new books and can't wait to read book 2 of this duet! Incredible read and highly recommend!
"This was a great debut novel by Amber! The story of Melina and Mateo immediately drew me in. Melina is a girl who is struggling with the trauma of her past and the guilt put on her from her grandparents...This was a quick easy read that I flew through. I found myself wanting to finish and find out what was happening next. There were several twists that made the story interesting. I loved that there was a plot that drew you in and it wasn't just all romance all the time. This made it much more believable throughout. Amber did an amazing job and I can't wait to see what else she has in store!"
Well girl this book was something else’s the spicy and plot was perfectly though out. It keep me interested the whole time and I can’t wait for book 2
